The very true about the initial cost PCoIP RDP ICA and Raydesk virtual

(12.09.2011)

We have been hammered down by both distributors and local VMware office, pushing me heard that the TCO VDI calculator we have published for free is not reflecting the VM neither the Citrix strategy. It does heavyly depend, on who is complaining at the present time. Some VM folks do not like partners with basic math skills, some of the VM folks are brightest brains you may see in the VDI business. So I have been asked to modify and adjust the results flavor.

Comparing initial 36 month cost/invoice for VDI and terminal services

There is no way to modify the market inputs, but there is a great space for discussion over the administration, installation and repair cost for each type of user. But this is why my TCO VDI non-Gartner/non-IDC calculator is open for editing to wide public. Try to do some adjustments to vendor's TCO or ROI tools. I can tall you right away, there is no way to edit their flash tools at all. There will always be a few technology players on the marker claiming the VDI first place. I consider these (even large vendors) to be plagiatus breed. But these VDI-like-to-claim-vendors ship to our customers boxes full of thin clients etc. I will consider those in my latest legal VDI first-invoice-only total cost of ownership to exclude the complicated part of running the desktops. We only get the results for HW (desktop unit) and SW (VDI and OS licenses). No energy, no human labor and no OPEX spreading. The pricing included in the VDI comparison matrix are list price market only. I estimate that those will 10% lower in the US market.
